Lazy Saturday

Lack of sleep. Weird sleeping patterns. Lots of rainclouds and lighting.
Hoping your weather is better than mine.

Went a little crazy and got the cat more play structures last night.
Hey, they were calling from Target.

My kingdom for this bag!

This bag is completely amazing. Sturdy. Spacious. Leather.
It'd be a great staple for my growing "grown up" closet.
Hey, the process has to start somewhere right?
I'd flip to have this in my closet.
Let me just hold off on my other impulse buys for awhile to afford it. :)
Definitely worth the price tag.
Be sure to check out SilvanaD on Etsy!

Gadsden Street Dress in Jersey by TheWeddingCollection on Etsy

I am loving this Gadsden Street Dress in Jersey by TheWeddingCollection on Etsy.
With a yellow necklace and gold bangles?
Yes, I believe this would be the perfect dress to wear to a wedding.
Or maybe with tights, a pea coat and some heels?
Dressy, dressy fantasticness!

A few lovely frames

Recently, well not so recently...
November. Or something like it.

D&D

[Insert imaginary picture of me screaming and ripping my hair out here.]
Something about Dungeons and Dragons rubs me entirely the wrong way.
I don't know what it is but the moment that D&D or Magic cards appear in my vicinity I suddenly have the overwhelming urge to stab a fork into my hand.
Now, I'm not sure that there is any logical thought behind this compulsion but it's intensity has only grown ten fold in the last couple of weeks.
These games seem to be everywhere I go. I have no sanctuary. I have no safety. All that I have is the constant murmur of decks being shuffled and dice being rolled.
I go to school, it's there.
I'm sitting eating lunch, there are people playing near me. No matter how many times I move, the game seems to find me. It is impossible to sit down to lunch without somehow landing amidst a group of people discussing their new additions to their decks.
When I go home, it's there too.
I cannot run. I cannot hide. It is everywhere and will not go away.
Please leave me alone D&D. Please leave me alone magic.
Ack. Please let me lose any memory of the rules and regulations of these games.
I'm sure that there are many people who enjoy playing, my boyfriend included. And that is just fine.
I just can't hear about this game.... ever again.

You think I'm kidding or that I'm being silly but I'm not.
This game has consumed my life in the worst possible way and it must go.

Forever.
I am not kidding.

Some belated shots

I have lagged pretty hard posting these and I'd like to apologize upfront for the cat heavy posting.
I love the cat. Plus, he lets me take picture of him all day.
What a booger.

And then there was Christmas. Which I completely forgot to post.
We did a gingerbread train this year instead of a house.
Thank you Trader Joe's for making the gingerbread for me. You rule.

Stomach ache central!

"Hmm, let's put Boyfriend in charge of the gingerbread train."

"Instructions? We don't need instructions! Wait.... does that say video instructions? What kind of gingerbread train is this?"

More like a gingerbread train wreck.

My cookie that I created all by myself. Aren't you proud?

Boyfriend's cookie. My stomach hurts just looking at this picture.
Our extremely legit icing skills.

The tree that Onyx chewed on all the time.
(Our cat has a weird love affair with plastic.)

Hey guys, where the party at?

Evil dictator cat.

Bill/ grocery board.

The funny thing about me starting this blog is that I actually cook a ton more now. But I do it all without even considering picking up my camera because I'm caught up in the moment. We were talking about these cookies that I made last Christmas a few nights ago and I decided to whip them up. It was only AFTER their completion that I realized I could have shared it on here.
Anyways, I made Chocolate Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies for the boys. I don't even remember where I found the recipe originally but Boyfriend L-O-V-E-S peanut butter. This boy will go through a whole jar without realizing that he made a dent in it. Boyfriend's old roommate came over and was surprised to see them again. Last year when I made them as we opened the oven we realized that we had NO MILK! And trust me, these are cookies that NEED milk. It was like a cruel Got Milk? commercial. In our desperation we had to walk to the over priced mini mart down the street for a five dollar gallon of milk. Well, the boys did. I made the cookies. I have special privileges. :)
